Long Trek to Scotland

On Saturday, I met Mom in the Detroit airport and we drove to Johnny and Sheryl's. This was my first experience renting a car and driving in the snow. Neither proved to be all that bad. On Sunday, Karen and David brought the boys over and Johnny picked up Grandma from her apt. We had a pseudo Thanksgiving linner and good conversation.

On Monday, Mom and I went to Grandma's and dined on not-so-satisfying food. Grandma proved her Pinnochle game is just as sharp as ever.

On Tuesday, I flew to Chicago and Mom flew home.

Dad and I flew to Dallas together and stayed with Granny. Our days were spent running errands and catching up with the family. On Friday, most of the Hamilton crew got together at the favorite burger joint Balls. This is where Warren proved himself to be a bball superstar in the making!

Saturday morning, I flew to Detroit and Dad flew home.

After frantically packing up my last belongings (and leaving a lot for Dad to finish up...), I met the family for dinner. It just so happened that it was also Moikey's bday. We dined on wings and had the Blazer game in the background. This is our farewell picture. Unfortunately, Mom was in Florida and missed the event.

Later, I met Ed and continued to stress over my packing. In the morning, Keri and Kellie took me to the airport. It was a sad moment to say goodbye to Portland, but comforting all the same, knowing that I'll be coming back to the Northwest in the end.
